Where have I been?
Hi All,
No I didn't forget all about you but what a crazy time......I did a terrific tumble and broke both my wrists and have been out of action for quite a while, hence no blogging and very little work on the website. Fortunately my sister lives close and she has mothered me during this time, but alls well that ends well and I am almost back to normal (whatever that is?) and back to work. Physio began this week and eventhough difficult the results are great.
During this, we had a great couple of days in Connemara in a super little hotel and ate some really terrific food. We were over looking Lough Inagh from our bedroom window and the mountains, and eventhough there was 'some' rain, it was still so beautiful, changing with the light, and that's the best memory.
In fact I think it's one of the best things about Ireland, how the scenery can change so quickly due to the light/shifting clouds/mist etc....magical

First post of The Irish Shop.com Blog
Hello all,
This is the first of our blogs from The Irish Shop.com blogger and I hope to update every couple of weeks.
So what is behind The Irish Shop.com?
We wanted to create a shop which stocked Iriah Gifts, Irish Crafts and Irish Music that we would want to buy......either for ourselves or as presents for friends. We wanted to stock irish Souvenirs that we would want to take back to family and friends, and that meant items which range from less than €1 to over €100 and more if demand calls.
We wanted to carry this ethos through to our online store which opened last week, and as we progress through and add more and more stock this will be evident.
People have asked us why we did something like this in a recession and our answer was Why Not? If change needs to happen it's pointless waiting around for someone to change things for you, you need to take charge and do it yourself.....we hope you like what we've done and we hope it will be successful and that we can provide a goood service for you all for many years to come.
